The Greenloop team is dedicated to delivering a true, yet positive message on environmental issues and the many ways to tackle them. Our definition and biomimetic practice of sustainability and resilience are scientifically grounded. The Greenloop team chose to stick to and compose with the latest scientific facts to avoid the deleterious impact of green-washing on the general public’s (consumer) opinion.

Our understanding of scientific data and commitment to the truth relies on the fact that our team comprises experts with academic degrees in the following diverse and complementary scientific fields in technology, life and human sciences:

Biology & Agronomy

Gauthier Chapelle is biologist, agricultural engineer & former scientific officer at the International Polar Foundation. Gauthier is also naturalist, trained as “Biologist at the Design Table”, associate member of the “Speaker Bureau” of the Biomimicry Institute.

Biochemistry & Microbiology

Caroline holds a PhD in Microbiology from the Hanover Medical School. She first studied Biochemistry and Matter Sciences at the Claude Bernard University (Lyon). She then carried on research in Microbiology, first at Ken Stedman’s laboratory (Portland State University, USA), then at the Lariboisière Hospital (Paris). She studied cell-cell communication mechanisms and biofilm formation in the opportunistic pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (Germany).

Engineering

Jean Valayer is engineer from Ecole Centrale Paris. Jean started his career in R & D, first at the University of Grenoble (Specialty doctorate) where he also taught soil mechanics, then in the oil industry in France. Jean currently contributes to a biological system simulation with a post-doc from the MIT (USA).  Sebastiaan de Neubourg holds both a master's degree in Business Management from the KU Leuven (BE) and an MSc in Sustainable Energy Systems from the University of Edinburgh, (UK). He has a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology (NL).

Business & Management

Gaetan is engineer of management and master in Environmental Management, Gaëtan worked many years on economic development projects in several countries. Most recently, he has worked within Group One (responsible economy) where he was in charge of the research and innovation department. In between, he has acquired an extended knowledge in corporate strategy while being the assistant of Prof. Paul Verdin (ULB, KUL, INSEAD).
