First European institute dedicated to Biomimicry launched!

The "Centre Européen de Compétences en Biomimétisme" was officially presented (see presentation) during a captivating afternoon in Senlis, in the North of Paris, thursday the 20th of September.

Initiated by Francis Pruche, the project was described by Pascale Loiseleur, maire of the city, with the support of the Department authorities.

The center will be located in a military camp recently dismantled, on a magnificent 10 hectares site. Its vocation is to support Biomimicry cursus & trainings, and to host R&D Biomimicry projects, with the explicit goal of preparing the post-carbon society. Several universities & technological schools are already partners, as is the Pôle de compétitivité I.A.R.(Industries Agro Ressources). Businesses are also involved, with many of them present for the event.
